Similarities
The same thing was that there were monkeys. There was also a whiskey still that the monkeys got drunk in. A circus train did wreck and the monkeys did escape. A truck did pull up and take all of the monkeys. Henry could do flips and summersaults.
Difference
There were no 3 boys that gave Jay trouble and they weren't even in the book. And there were about 30 monkeys in this movie there was only 4. In the movie the trashed the house but in the book they never did that. In the movie Jay was at the last day of school when it started but in book there weren't any school houses.
Opinion
I think that they could have spent a little more time on this movie. I think it was a good idea for them to just put 4 monkeys in but really you had to give costumes. I think they should included Rowdy in the story a little more. I think that they should’ve not included that old man Hatcher.
